About BioWasteGuide
An independent, source-first reference for people responsible for regulated medical and biohazard waste in the United States.
What we publish
BioWasteGuide organizes state medical-waste rules, disposal requirements by waste stream, and federal enforcement data into consistent, comparable formats. The intended readers are compliance and operations staff at medical, dental, veterinary, laboratory, body-art, mortuary, and home-health organizations.
We are not a government agency, law firm, medical provider, or waste hauler. The site is informational and does not replace advice from the agency with jurisdiction over a facility.
How the reference is funded
The editorial reference is free. BioWasteGuide may eventually receive referral compensation from licensed waste-service providers. Paid relationships do not determine which regulations, sources, or compliance requirements appear in the editorial content. No referral provider is currently active.
Who prepares the guides
The BioWasteGuide Editorial Team compiles pages from the statutes, administrative rules, agency guidance, and government datasets cited on each page. We do not claim that an LLM, a template, or a citation replaces human verification. Read the editorial and corrections policy for the full process.
